This post documents my experience on August 15, 2026.
I came to the St. Frances Cabrini Campus just as the gates opened…
…to help celebrate the San Rocco Festa, put on by the San Rocco Foundation.

Near the entrance was a kids’ area with a stage, activity table…
…and multiple prize games…
…while, further in, there was a covered eating area…
…a cantina for adults…
…a main entertainment stage…
…with lots of lively music…
…a sauce competition that you could try for $2 a taste…

…and food vendors with offerings of pizza…
…ravioli…
…and gyros (geographically almost Italian).
Before deciding on dinner, I wanted to head inside the main building…
…where I found a large raffle table…

…tables selling tee shirts, flags and religious items…
…a historical area…

…where guests could peruse photographs and newspaper clippings…
…and a food area where they served pasta fagioli, meatball sandwiches…
…and penne pasta, which I got with some sausage.
Once I finished, I checked out the bakery there…

…for the possibility of finding a dessert…
…but there were more desserts outside…
…like Italian fried dough…
…cannoli and cream puffs…
…and an assortment of ice cream flavors…
…including this heavenly strawberry pretzel dessert that really hit the spot.
