Created in 1908, the Aurora Farmers Fair is Indiana’s Oldest Street Festival. There are two music stages, band performances on the street, wrestling matches, a downtown carnival, plenty of food booths (many held by local churches) and more.

This post documents my experience on October 4, 2025.
The Farmers Fair took place in downtown Aurora…
…with the elements of a carnival spread about…

…rides filled the side streets…

…and games promised the fortunes of animal stuffies…

…balloons and goldfish…
…while the Circle City Sidewalk Stompers Clown Band entertained guests in the streets.

But that wasn’t the only entertainment, as the fair had two stages…
…with an assortment of live music and dance…
…and there was even a wrestling ring…
…to get the kids cheering.

In terms of vendors, the fair offered some of the usual festival wares…

…but there were locally made shirts…
…crafts made by South Dearborn High School students…
…and plenty of regional honey.
Others booths were held by community members consisting of veterans…

…political leaders…

…and church volunteers.

Most impressive was the food as there were quesadillas and tacos…

…bourbon chicken and brisket…
…chicken pot pies…

…fried bologna sandwiches and fried fish meals (also held by a local church and school)…
…and cookie options for dessert.
Before leaving, I actually stop at St. Mary’s booth for their famous apple crisp…
..and it was a delicious ending to my visit.
