AUTHOR’S NOTE: I arrived in Sophia on Friday afternoon. I was told that Saturday night was the festival’s big day, offering kids’ games and more vendors that weren’t present during my visit.

It was a beautiful afternoon in Sophia…

…when I came to visit their annual Fall Festival.

Children were jumping around on the inflatables…

…Daniel Lilly and The Lilly Mountaineers was entertaining festival goers with a great performance…
…and I was considering a mid-afternoon snack between either a hot dog or some BBQ (right – Bro. Marsh’s and Son BBQ)…

…eventually deciding on the latter (topped with coleslaw).

Afterwards, I decided to walk off some calories while checking out the vendors…

…and I was really impressed with the amount of artistic/artisan offerings…

…including custom made signs…

…handmade plaques (by Jimmie)…

…the perfect kitchen accessories (Crafty Lady Birds)…

…paintings, carved walking sticks (Odd’s & End’s!!)…
…and all sorts of handmade items from jewelry to artwork (Crimson Crafters).
Even the baked goods were homemade with staple pepperoni rolls, cinnamon rolls, brownies and unicorn cookies.
Yum!
