Upcoming Southern Festival Weekend: July 30 - August 2, 2026

Watermelon, Corn, Cultural Fests and Music this weekend.

Welcome back, Festival Fans.

It’s hot out there for many states and the numbers reflect that.

That being said, it’s usually the time for County Fairs, which I didn’t originally list when creating these Festival Guides. But, recently, I’ve thought about it and decided to add them to states where someone wrote in and requested it.

Therefore, if there are county fairs in your state that you don’t see on the guide (and you want listed), let me know and I’ll add them.

Big festival states this weekend are Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, while the types of festivals include Watermelon, Church, Art, Music, and Cultural Festivals.

It’s also the second weekend of the Goetta Festival in Kentucky…

…in case you wanted to try this interesting Germanic dish (Review).
