This post documents my experience on September 9, 2017.
Deep in the heart of Connellsville…
…festival goers were celebrating the change of seasons…
…with an Autumn Mum Festival.
Most of the mums were gone by the time I had arrived…

…but that didn’t stop festival goers from shopping among the jewelry…

…soaps…
…and fresh produce.
There were many local organizations present, selling brooms (Connellsville Lions Club)…
…hosting children’s activities (Highlands Hospital)…
…supporting local teachers (CAEA)…
…offering spiritual assistance (Jehovah’s Witnesses)…
…and serving hot dogs to raise money for special programs (CAHS).

Speaking of food, festival goers could everything from pepperoni rolls to grilled BBQ chicken…
…while St. John’s Lutheran Church had some incredible looking apple dumplings…
…and this Amish booth sold huge donuts…
…that were almost as big as my hand.
It was no coincidence that the bounce house mere feet from the donut booth!
Across the street, passed the gate opening…
…a gazebo was prepped for music performances.
But since there was no music at the moment, it was a perfect time to try some Greenhouse Winery samples…
…followed by the purchase of duct tape…
…to stick ole Pat Murphy to the wall (a fundraiser by the Central Fellowship Church).
