Hopwood’s Big Grape Stomp – Zionsville, Indiana – My Experience

This post documents my experience on September 22, 2019.

In the picturesque town of Zionsville…

…a local winery decided to have a festival…

…called the Big Grape Stomp.

With a $3 entrance admission…

…festival goers received a raffle ticket, a $3 coupon for winery purchases…

…and access to a painting party…

…outdoor lounging…

…adult jump houses…

…(which were sometimes used by kids when they got bored with their own jump houses)…

…and various games…

…one of which was Drinking Jenga…

…where someone would be shouting he/she was a “coydoy.”

And while the festival did include a gift vendor…

…some grub from across the street (Greek’s Pizzeria)…

…and some great music…

…the festival’s main draw was under this tent…

…where vats were filled with grapes…

…so that festival goers can bare their feet…

…climb into the vat…

…and stomp away with great satisfaction.
