This post documents my experience on September 22, 2019.
On the grounds of the Plainfield Friends Church…
…the Quaker Day Craft and Community Festival was taking place…

…with plenty of shaved ice (Frigid Frog) and inflatables for the kids…

…an enormous car show for the automobile aficionados…
…and a craft show that ran along the sidewalks…
…with seasonal decor…
…outdoor furniture (Grandpa’s Cedar Works)…
…pillows for the sports lover…
…gourmet treats for dogs (Bark 4 Treats)…
…and more.
Some booths represented aspects of the community, preserving its past (Hendricks County Historical Museum)…
…guiding its future (Sea Cadets)…
…and doing its best to assist area families (Family Promise)…
…children (Indiana Adoption Program)…
…and animals (Hendricks County Humane Society)…
…all of which fit in with the positive message of the church…
…who, by the way, served lunch in the basement…
…where festival goers could enjoy offerings that included pork chops, lamb burgers and sloppy Joe’s.
