La Fête De Marquette is a French themed community festival that takes place at McPike Park in Madison. Along with activities, games, inflatables and rides for kids, there are vendors, all sorts of local food vendors and multiple stages for great music entertainment.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: This is Part 4 of our trip to Wisconsin.
This post documents my experience on July 13 2019.

It was a beautiful evening in McPike Park…
…perfect for enjoying it at La Fete de Marquette.
Sections of field were turned into Ball Parks for kids of various age groups…
…and Luca was eager to join in the fun.
Nearby, there was also a kids’ section with an inflatable obstacle course…
…an inflatable slide…
…plastic balls to roll inside in…
…an Art Tent area…
…and an amazing vintage Ferris Wheel…
…that spun at a remarkably speed (and make this blogger’s hands sweat).

Scattered about this central area, festival goers could find various vendors…

…delicious food ranging from tacos to poke bowls (Cafe Costa Rica/Tavernakaya)
…and a large Beer/Wine Tent.
But, as the evening progressed, people were going to either head to the Moon Stage area…

…with BBQ and smoothies (RibMasters WI/Jakarta Cafe)…
…a tall table area with beer/wine tent…
…and an entertainment tent…
…or to the other end beyond the Ferris Wheel…
…for the Sun Stage area…
…where there were even more food vendors…
…including Curd Girl for some of the best cheese curds…
…Rodeo Wagon for some crawfish cheesecake…
…and so much more.
As the sun began to set, I got the most incredible bacon on a stick from the Smokin’ Cantina…
…and it was crispy on the outside with tender, fatty, salty delicious meat inside.
I ate my bacon, chewing it slowly and witnessing the miracle before me in the Wisconsin sky…
…happy to be sharing this experience with family and friends.
