Festivals this weekend in Florida, Michigan and Wisconsin!
You don’t have to be southern state to have festivals in the middle of winter. While Florida does have quite a number of festivals this weekend, the northern states of Michigan and Wisconsin also have some festivals to talk about.
Granted, the types of festivals going on in each are quite the opposite of each other.
Michigan and Wisconsin festivals this weekend have themes that involve Ice, Winter, Snow and plenty of Beer.
Meanwhile, while Florida does have a Winter Wine Festival, a Winter Carnival and some Beer festivals, they also have some Chili Cook-offs, Seafood festivals, Renaissance and Medieval festivals, a Pirate festival, a Storytelling festival and all sorts of Music Festivals.
Most of the other states have a few festivals each this weekend, including…
Alabama: an Arts and Crafts Festival
Georgia: an Indian Festival
Illinois: an Eagle Festival
Indiana: Beer Festivals
North Carolina: Coffee and Street Food Festivals
Pennsylvania: Winter Festivals and the big Groundhog Festival
South Carolina: Wine and Beer Festivals
Tennessee: a Holiday Lights Festival in Tennessee.
There will be even more next weekend. February, in general, will be much better.
Concerning the festival guides, the new ones have been coming along nicely. Alabama now has over 350 festivals listed, while North Carolina has over 800. I’m still working on South Carolina, but I should be done by the end of the week.
