Groundhogs, Eagles, Ice and Chocolate.
It’s Groundhog Weekend in Pennsylvania and I’m sure the streets of Punxsutawney are already filled with television crews, festival fans and Polka music.
But this is only one of many festivals this weekend that are celebrating Ice, the Winter and everything in-between. There are Beer Festivals, some Music Festivals, an Eagle Festival, and a few Chocolate Festivals.
As typical this time of year, Florida again is the big festival state with festivals celebrating Seafood, BBQ, Tacos, Garlic, Wine, Cane Grinding, Music and more, but states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin are pretty impressive in their winter weekend offerings.

Concerning my latest Festival Guide updates, I have almost completed going through the listings for the month of August. Soon I will start September and this is a big month for many of the states (the northern states because it’s the last great month for outdoor festivals and the southern states because the weather starts to get comfortable again for festivals). So it may take me some time to worth through that month.
Hopefully, I’ll have completely gone through all the listings in 2023 by the mid-February. Then I’ll go through the unconfirmed listings again in March and check for updates.
As I’m going through the listings and confirming/updating events, I am still copying festivals over to the City Festival Guides, like Tampa, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Rochester-Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Nashvillle, and Milwaukee. Are there any special city guides you wish I created?
