Mullet Tossing, Snake Rodeos, Fire Ants, Vikings, plus Cherry Blossoms, Polka, Oysters, and so much more!
It’s one of those weekends, festival fans, where anything can happen.
As you read through this weekend’s lists of festivals, you will notice some very interesting celebrations going on.
Right at the top, in the state of Alabama, you may raise an eyebrow to see a Rattlesnack Rodeo. But you only need to scroll down a few inches to find them Tossing Mullets in Florida. Then there’s a Fire Ant Festival in Georgia, and a Viking Festival in North Carolina.
Along with Maple Syrup Festivals this weekend, Floral Festivals get the spotlight, mostly consisting of Cherry Blossom Festivals in Georgia and Washington, DC. But there are are also a Festival of Flowers in Alabama, a Dogwood Festival and Tulip Festival in Georgia, and a Daffodil Festival in North Carolina.
There are also plenty of Food Festivals (Strawberry, German Sausage, Oysters, Seafood, BBQ, Watermelon, Peanut, Dirty Fries, Vegetable, Cheese), Drink Festivals (Beer, Sour Beers, Wine, Mimosas, Margaritas, Bourbon, Bloody Marys), Music Festivals (Blues, Bluegrass, Rock, Native American, Irish, Polka) and so many more, including Medieval, Book, Spring, and Art Festivals.
This weekend also begins the first weekend of Dearborn, Michigan’s Ramadan Suhoor Festival – the largest Ramadan Festival in North America.
Therefore, really take a good look at the lists this weekend and be sure to check out the map to see what’s around you.
For many states, it should be a rewarding, festival-filled weekend.
And, if this doesn’t include your state, maybe a short car ride will help remedy that.
