Many more festivals with some great themes, making this a spectacular festival weekend!
I’m happy to tell you, festival fans, that it’s a MUCH better festival weekend.
Festival numbers, particularly in the south, have dramatically increased. Even if you just quickly glance at the map below, you can see that the pins are just crowding each other.
But it’s not only the numbers – because the festival themes are great too.
For example, Food Festivals this weekend offer BBQ, Shrimp, Oysters, Tacos, Bacon, Cornbread, Collard Greens, Slawburgers, Mac and Cheese, Donuts, Strawberries, Blueberries, Italian Food, Japanese Food, Chinese Food, Hispanic Food, Thai Food, and Pacific Islander Food. And there are all sorts of Beer and Wine Festivals this weekend to wash all that food down.
There are Spring Festivals, Dogwood and Cherry Blossom Festivals, Art Festivals, and Highland Games.
There’s a Goat Festival. A Pirate Festival.
There’s even a festival blending Mayberry and I Love Lucy.
In fact, now that the numbers are just going to keep increasing for a bit, I am bringing back a section where I highlight some festivals in each state.
These are festivals I want to bring attention to because they sound interesting to me. And, since I’m listing them all together, maybe it will help you take notice of what some other states are offering. You might want to take a quick road trip or visit that particular festival over the years to come.
