Resistance is futile: Christmas Festivals have begun.
Many of you have probably seen those memes where, the day after Halloween, Christmas season has begun. Some of you, blessed with unseasonably (or seasonably) warm weather recently, may have even started decorating the house with lights and contemplated pulling out the tree already.
As you look to this week’s festival listings, you will definitely see the influence of Christmas. There are Holiday Markets and Christmas Celebrations this weekend with some multi-weekend Holiday Light Festivals starting up as well. This will likely continue in the weeks to come, really getting serious on Thanksgiving Weekend.
But if it’s still too early to be celebrating Christmas, you will be able to enjoy a Bigfoot Festival in Georgia, a Wine Festival in Illinois, a Donut Festival in Tennessee, a Sausage Festival in North Carolina and all sorts of festivals in Florida.
Let’s look at what’s going on this weekend in each of the states. Here are some festivals in each that I think sound interesting:

Chocolate and Cheese, Mac N’ Cheese, Storytelling, Christmas and Peanuts.

Medieval and Renaissance Fests, Jamaican Jerk, Wine Festivals, Beer Festivals, Honey, Tacos, Seafood and Lights.
Georgia
Bigfoot, Rice, Christmas and Oyster Roasts.
Illinois
Holiday Markets, a Pow Wow and a Wine Festival.
Indiana
Christmas Festivals and a Wine Festival.
Kentucky
Festival Lights and a Holly Day Market.
Michigan
Holiday Festival, Flannel and Women in the Arts.
New York
Christmas and Wine.
North Carolina
Christmas, Cider, Beer, Sausage and the Renaissance.
Pennsylvania
Christmas.
