Pennsylvania’s Guide is complete and I’m updating the listings!
Well, festival fans, as I’ve said last week, I have completed the Pennsylvania Festival Guide and it now has around 1500 festivals listed. This doubled the amount of festivals for my listings in Pennsylvania.
And, in case you’re interested, I’ve added up all the festival listings in all of the states at Festival Guides and Reviews and OhioFestivals.net and the grand total of festival listings is 17,690!
Crazy!
Regarding this weekend’s festivals, the place to be is, once again, Florida. This is where you’ll find Seafood Festivals, Renaissance and Medieval Festivals, Music Festivals, Sour Orange Festivals, Chocolate Festivals, Greek Festivals, Beer Festivals, and Pepper Chili Cook Offs.
In other states, there are Ice Festivals, Beer Festivals, an Eagle Fest and an Oyster Fest.
While things aren’t all that busy (except for Florida), I am taking the chance to go through all the 17,690 Festival Listings and update all of those with an asterisk next to the date (meaning unconfirmed). I search for their 2023 dates and info and I update the web link, if necessary.
So far, I’ve pretty much updated listing from January through April (although I haven’t been able to confirm them all).
Afterwards, I’ll check on festivals in May/June and then July/August and then September/October until I get through the entire year, hoping finishing this task by the end of February.
Once that’s done, I’ll likely start again and see if more festivals have been updated since then.
It’s a seemingly painful process.
That’s why I always welcome you writing in to me and letting me know of any corrections. It does help me quite a lot.
