Strawberries, Dog Surfing and Dyngus Day this Easter Weekend.
Many of you may already have plans this upcoming weekend with Easter and the beginning of Passover. While there are plenty of Church and city family Easter events going on, there is a noticeable decrease in festivals because of this. But some states, like Florida and Georgia, are still going fairly strong with festivals and most states have at least one festival going on.
Festivals will really kick back up next weekend!
Some of the most interesting festivals this weekend include a Dog Surfing Festival in Florida, a Turkey Festival in Georgia, a Ramadan Festival in Michigan, a Slawburger Festival in Tennessee and a Dyngus Day Festival in New York. If you are unfamiliar with Dyngus Day (it’s huge in Buffalo, New York and more recently in Cleveland, Ohio), you can read about it at the Wikipedia page by clicking HERE. Maybe it will catch on in your state as well!
Other festivals to note are the Strawberry Festivals in Alabama and South Carolina, a Pow Wow in Wisconsin, and the Easter Festivals in West Virginia.
